Welcome to BUTFF x CULTfilm, a series of films like no other! BUTFF is a unique film festival for B-movies, underground and trash films, held twice a year in Breda. Because these films are rarely screened elsewhere, Theater De Generator will host five screenings, selected by BUT programmer Dani van Duin. Each screening features an eye-opening introduction by Dani, and in some cases, the director will also stop by to give more info about the film.

14 May – Big City Pizza – Dusty Sanders
A bizarre animation with a wild story
As tension in the big city reaches fever pitch ahead of the Omniball Championship, skeleton pizza delivery boy Boney unsuspectingly sets off on his shift. What follows is a madcap night-time delivery run in which reality spirals further and further out of control. The film is entirely animated from Boney’s perspective and consists of a single, uninterrupted shot. The viewer is literally trapped inside his skull as Boney drives from address to address, with each stop stranger, more absurd and funnier than the last.

Over the course of a single night, Boney (a skeleton pizza delivery driver) navigates a city that grows stranger with every stop. Animated in one continuous, unbroken take, the film follows Boney’s surreal journey through the big city, where every stop is weirder than the last, and the tips rarely justify the trauma.
