AN OVERVIEW OF OUR MUSIC PROGRAM 2026

THREE EVENINGS

THURSDAY: VERMIN VARIETY SHOW

Subsidiejunk
A side project of the Tilburg-based weird-punk band H_U_T._ . The project operates with a constantly changing lineup of musicians from the Tilburg underground scene. Each performance is built on improvisation, trance, repetitive drone rock, and noisy jams. FFO: Water Damage, CAN, Pharoah Overlord, Swans, Bitches Brew era of M.D.

William Ludwig Lutgens – A Joy Sauce in the Belly

Artist William Ludwig Lutgens effortlessly moves between painting, sculpture, film and performance. His work is populated by bizarre alter egos and grotesque figures clinging to a world of rules, expectations and social masks. Humour and horror constantly overlap; what first appears comic can suddenly become uncomfortably close.

At BUTFF he presents A Joy Sauce in the Belly: a theatrical performance where grotesque costumes, music and absurdity merge into a hypnotic ritual. Like a demonic master of ceremonies, Lutgens moves between seduction and alienation, transforming visual art into a live experience that defies easy categorisation.

De Kakkerlakke

De Kakkerlakke from Maastricht dives headfirst into the collective gut feeling of the Netherlands. Their music lives somewhere between Dutch tearjerkers, punk, camp and total chaos. Or, as they describe themselves: the accidental lovechild of André Rieu, Benny Neyman and GG Allin.

Expect a joyful derailment in which the Dutch levenslied is ripped apart, dragged through the dirt, and stitched back together with obvious delight. Melancholy, humour and filth go hand in hand as the audience sings, laughs and gradually gets pulled deeper into the chaos.

FRIDAY: PRIKKELDRAAD METAL NIGHT

MOULFON
Mouflon is a Dutch death and doom metal band forging a sound deeply rooted in the old-school traditions of Entombed, Autopsy, Grave and Asphyx. Their music shifts between slow, dragging doom passages and explosive bursts of death metal, always carrying a sense of overwhelming weight and intensity.

With albums such as Devastations and Pure Filth, the band built a reputation for uncompromising, destructive metal that feels both sluggish and aggressive at the same time. Live, this translates into a massive wall of sound where subtlety disappears entirely in favour of impact and volume.

The band has shared stages with acts such as Gatecreeper, Blood Incantation and Zeal & Ardor, and performed at festivals including Eurosonic and Pitfest. Their shows are built around pressure and escalation: slow builds, crushing heaviness and full-force sonic impact.

VISCERAL CONTEMPT
Visceral Contempt emerged in late 2023 around a hardcore project inspired by Operation Oyster, the Allied bombing of the occupied Philips radio factories in Eindhoven in 1942. What began as a conceptual EP quickly evolved into a full band featuring members from Human Demise, Dark Intentions and No Turning Back.

Their sound sits firmly in metallic hardcore: tight, aggressive and heavily charged. Within a year, the band played across the Netherlands and beyond, sharing stages with acts such as Earth Crisis, Mindwar and Initiate.

On stage, Visceral Contempt delivers a relentless performance built entirely on intensity and impact. No relief, no detours—just sustained pressure from start to finish.

GRIT
GRIT emerged in 2024 from the Dutch underground black and death metal scene, founded by musicians with roots in bands such as Sator Malus and Depredation. What started as a new collaborative project quickly evolved into a fully committed death metal formation with no restraint or polish.

Drawing influence from both classic and modern death metal ranging from Cannibal Corpse to Bolt Thrower and Obituary, GRIT focuses on direct, physical intensity. Cutting riffs, heavy grooves and aggressive vocals combine into a sound built entirely around impact.

The lineup was completed with additional guitarists, reinforcing a front line that amplifies the band’s weight and urgency. What remains is a band that does exactly what death metal is meant to do: play hard, play direct, and leave no room for escape.

SATURDAY: PHOENIX INFESTED

Ratsmack
Ratsmack from Rotterdam plays alternative rock where melodic hooks, gritty guitars and dark undertones come together. The band effortlessly moves between alternative rock, noisepop and punk without ever losing sight of momentum. One moment they're building tension, the next everything bursts wide open.

Their live shows thrive on dynamics: driving rhythms, raw vocals and razor-sharp guitar riffs are balanced by melodic passages that offer just enough breathing space before the next explosion hits.

FROG!
FROG! is an instrumental four-piece from Mechelen effortlessly moving between krautrock, spacerock, post-rock, psychedelia and punk. The band patiently builds long, hypnotic compositions where driving rhythms, repetitive grooves and explosive outbursts continuously feed into one another.

Their music isn't born in the studio but on stage. Songs evolve over years of rehearsals and live performances until they capture exactly the raw energy the band is after. That's what you'll hear on Live in Brussels: FROG! exactly as intended — loud, immersive and completely alive in the moment.

SEXTC
SEXTC is a four-headed beast from Belgium, fusing hardcore, punk and shoegaze into an intense and unpredictable live experience. What began after one particularly wild night grew into a band fully committed to energy, urgency and complete physical abandon.

With blistering guitars, pounding rhythms and a frontman who dives headfirst into the crowd, a SEXTC show never keeps its distance. Their music balances melody and chaos, control and total release, without ever sacrificing intensity.
